Walter Wall Hits

Hats off to Walter Meego. Fair play for using Daft Punk at the end, such a good idea. Solid Groove and Sinden take it back to basics with their club friendly remix, which is also well worth a listen.

Bad Boy For Tuesday

pic:blackmage9

I'm starting to feel love for the 90s rappers again. And if you mix it with a sweet house beat, you have me on my knees. Thank you La Mode.

Cough, Good Song, Cough

pic:hakanphotography

I like Estaw. I like Herve. I like them together. You will like this song. The EP also comes with another banger, courtesy of Detboi. It's on beatport now. Been out a few weeks - but just not enough blog love.

Cool tune. Nothing too hectic. One of those tracks when you get about mid-way through a house party, you look round and everyone looks cool.

Let's have some more Grum as well eh?

Yet more Crookers for y'all. And with a mix for Busy P about to drop, it's starting to get almost unfair on everyone else. They're playing Fabric this friday - so check that out. Meanwhile, pick some of their endless catalogue up at Beatport.

Free Things For Poor People

Free promo time! Infadels new single gets remixed by Alex Metric, - it's pretty big and packs in some pure festival sunshine. You can get the whole single here. Plus it talks about free things for poor people, which i'm up for, being a student and all... In other news, if you get chance to see Yuksek live, take it. He packs a punch.

"WOAH WOAH"

pic:juergenteller

pretty much every night i go to seems to finish off with (or start with or maybe just feature somewhere in the middle) technotronic - pump up the jam. i for one was absolutely not complaining, we all love the sing-a-long 'woah woah' however, its probably time to start moving on, that track was released in 1989 after all. nic sarno has given the track the sick update it needed...

Do we have to plan all your weekends?

More good times at Fabric this weekend, with Dance Club favourites Brodinski, Pat Mahoney, Phones, Filthy Dukes and The Touch. To get you in the mood, here is a live mix recorded at Fabric, by Dekker.

Chewy Chocolate Cookies have been really hitting it hard recently, their remix of 'Genesis' went down very well Blogside. So not to miss out on a good thing, here's a couple more of theirs. The remix of Plastic Operator goes really sick at the end, and you can't go far wrong playing about with Digitalism even a year or two down the line. If you want more from these artists, check out beatport as always.

Knightlife Nolife

Photobucket
pic:ilka

Only a week longer 'til I finish my finals. Then I can stop being a hermit. Can't wait. These have certainly brightened my day though. Everything Knightlife touches turns to bassline gold, but you already know that, we've posted their stuff before. Hang on through this one, it gets fun at the drop. There must be something cool in the water in Australia...

Knightlife - All Systems

Then there's Mr Miyagi, who did one of the most underrated remixes of the Klaxons way back. He has a lot of fun with the Melomanics. All that Wax On Wax Off shit clearly did the trick. 'Get You' indeed!

Melomanics - Get You (Mr Miyagi Remix)

Also, you should definitely check out Danger's excellent remix of Sebastien Tellier's 'Divine.' It's on a small label and it deserves support, so i'm not gonna post it. If it tickles your fancy, you should be able to find it and many other things over at beatport.

Y'ALL GONNA MAKE ME ACT A FOOL

pic:hakanphotography

ahh, that's more like it....

DMX - Up In Here (Mightyfools Remix)

IN WHICH CLUB?

pic:eriklang

this is much less womp womp and much more pop disco than i usually post. but i love pop music. it's pretty much what you'd expect from mstrkrft... in the traditional mstrkrft sense, not that mstrkrft feat. nore hip hop vibe...

Usher - Love In This Club (MSTRKRFT Remix)
[link removed by request]

following on the same pop vein, here's basement jaxx's heavy fix of newcomer adele's cold shoulder. the remix featured on the single and it really gives the track some bounce (is that a pun because i just talked about mstrkrft?) it never really got any blog love though, so i'm putting it up now...

What time is it?

After The Shoes killed it with their remix, Zombie Disco Squad have worked their magic on Wiley's new track. I love it. But then again, I was having such a good time with original... which you can pick up over at juno.

Wiley - Wearing My Rolex (Zombie Disco Squad Remix)

Does this Starr still burn so bright?

pic:naplajoi

Riva Starr does good things. Naturally, as with most things, Jazz got there first. But knowing not to fix something that works oh so well, I offer you two of his latest remixes. You can pick them up over on beatport.

So Felix Da Housecat has a new single Tweak coming out. It was actually released way back in the day. But on a really limited cut. For once, he put away his chrome codpiece, and made a true pumping banger. He should be making music like this more. It'll be out on Wall of Sound, when you should pick it up over on beatport.

Sorry that we haven't posted for a while, James John and Jazzz? have internet probems and i'm stuck in the middle of exams. So here's a pile of music that you may or may not want to party down to. These Grum remixes are pretty cool, especially the one of Late Of The Pier, who incidentally are well worth a listen. Fake Shark Real Zombie's track 'Designer Drugs,' gets remixed by Designer Drugs themselves. If that's a coincidence I give up. Anyway it's a nu-rave Casio keyboard meltdown!

Armand Van Helden - You Don't Know Me (Grum Remix)

Late Of The Pier - Space And The Woods (Grum Remix)
[removed by force]

Revolte - Ironical Sexism (Grum Remix)

Fake Shark Real Zombie - Designer Drugs (Designer Drugs Remix)

Then there's another portion of Dance Club favourites Crookers, remixed by The Bloody Beetroots. Fred Falke rears his funky head, and Mr. Oizo joins the Jamie Lidell remix competition craze, which is pretty unfair really... Get all these and more from our friends at beatport!

I miss you too

Sorry for dropping the ball recently, and letting the post count get a bit.... I've just moved house, and am sans internet. A regular supply of bangers will resume shortly!

In the meantime, get yourselves over to Fabric tonight, for what is an unbelievable night. Switch, Sinden, A Trak, Surkin and Para One are amongst the heavy hitters. Ridiculous. I'll be the one giggling with excitement.
